a dual purpose craft – Thanksgiving and Christmas wooden blocks

After I made these block for Nora (which I declared my favorite craft ever) I’ve had so many other plans for crafts using that same idea.  This weekend I turned one of those ideas into a reality.  Like many of my crafts, this one was inspired by a pin on Pinterest so I can’t take any credit for the idea.

So check it out:

I made one set that says “Give Thanks” to use for Thanksgiving decor

And when you turn them around…

Then you have a set of “Merry Christmas” blocks!  Clever, huh?  Now I have decorations for Thanksgiving and Christmas that take up half the storage space.

    • I haven’t made a tutorial yet – I’m terrible about getting all caught up in my crafting and not thinking to take pictures until I’m all done! I’ll try to make one next time I make a set of blocks though.

  4. @ Pam: Im out of town this week so I can’t check my cartridges, but I’m pretty sure I used:
    Jubilee for the “Merry”
    Alphalicious for “Christmas”
Opposites Attract for “Give” and “Thanks” (different fonts but same cartridge)
I cut the letters for the big blocks on 4″ and the sideways block was 1 1/4″ or 1 1/2″.
